Landelijke self-assessment tool in ontwikkeling

De NMVO ontwikkelt in overleg met KNMP een self-assessment tool voor apotheekhoudenden om prestaties rond de implementatie van de FMD te vergelijken. Deze benchmark geeft op individueel apotheekniveau inzicht in scanprestaties en het aantal alerts. De NMVO merkt dat veel NMVS-gebruikers een beeld willen krijgen van de resultaten van hun inspanningen om het scannen zo effectief mogelijk in werkprocessen te integreren. De landelijke self-assessment tool wordt binnenkort beschikbaar gesteld om te voldoen aan deze wens.

Wat kunt u zelf doen om problemen met scannen te voorkomen?

We zien in de praktijk dat scannen nauw luistert maar dat een hoog succespercentage weldegelijk mogelijk is. Meer dan 400 apotheken scoren hoger dan 99,4% foutloos! Naast de scantest van uw AIS leverancier en de test codes van de NMVO hieronder kunt u zelf een aantal stappen nemen.

Als u een FMD melding krijgt, controleer dan de informatie in uw AIS en het pakje. In meer dan de helft van de gevallen is de scanner die alleen kleine letters doorgeeft het probleem. Vergelijk de code op het pakje met de code in uw scherm. Ziet u dat hoofd en/of kleine letters niet overeenkomen? Doe dan de scantest van de NMVO. Staan daar wel de hoofd- en kleine letters goed? Neem dan contact AIS leverancier.

Testcode

Vorige week plaatsten we de tweede testcode. Deze week hebben we een nieuwe 2D data matrix om uw scanners te testen. We testen met deze 2D code de meest voorkomende fouten van de afgelopen weken. We merken dat in de praktijk de resultaten binnen een bedrijf nog wel eens verschillen, ook met identieke scanners en systemen. Het is daarom belangrijk om deze test bij al uw scanners uit te voeren.

1. Controleer of de scanner is aangesloten op de computer waarop u gaat testen.
2. Open Kladblok of Word. DUS NIET TESTEN IN UW AIS!

Uitnodiging Skype update NMVO

Op donderdag 12 september 13:00-14:00 (nieuwe datum!) organiseert de NMVO een webinar.  

NMVO nodigt voor dit webinar alle organisaties uit die als deelnemer van de stichting NMVO zijn geregistreerd. Het webinar heeft als doel om de deelnemers van de stichting NMVO te informeren over de voortgang van het Nederlandse NMVS, mede met het oog op het naderende einde van de ‘soft launch’. Tevens hebben deelnemers de mogelijkheid om vragen te stellen. Indien u nog geen deelnemer bent van de Stichting NMVO, kunt u zich hier registreren.

Aanmelden voor het webinar kan door een mail te sturen naar info@nmvo.nl. Vermeld in de e-mail welke organisatie u vertegenwoordigt. Per organisatie kunnen maximaal twee personen deelnemen. Voorafgaand aan het webinar ontvangt u een uitnodiging waarmee u kunt deelnemen via Skype for business/Microsoft Teams.

National self-assessment tool in development

The NMVO is developing a self-assessment tool for pharmacists in consultation with KNMP to compare performance with regard to the implementation of the FMD. This benchmark provides insight into scan performance and the number of alerts at an individual pharmacy level. The NMVO notes that many NMVS users want to get a better picture of the results of their efforts to integrate scanning as effectively as possible into their work processes. The national self-assessment tool will be made available shortly to meet this need.

What can you do yourself to prevent scanning problems?

We see in practice that scanning can be tricky, but that a high success rate is possible. More than 400 pharmacies have a success rate of 99.4% or more! In addition to the scan test from your AIS supplier and the NMVO test codes below, you can take a number of steps yourself.

If you get an FMD message, check the information in your AIS and the package. In more than half of the cases, the problem is the scanner that passes only lowercase letters. Compare the code on the package with the code on your screen. Do you see that uppercase and / or lowercase letters do not match? Then try the NMVO scan test. If the result of this test is successful, then contact your AIS supplier.

Test code

Last week we placed the second test code. This week we have a new 2D data matrix to test your scanners. With this 2D code we test the most common errors of the past weeks. We notice that in practice the results within a company sometimes differ, even with identical scanners and systems. It is therefore important to perform this test on all your scanners.

1.Check whether the scanner is connected to the computer on which you are testing.
2. Open Notepad or Word. SO DO NOT TEST IN YOUR AIS!

NMVO organises a webinar on Thursday 12 September 13:00-14:00 (new date!).

NMVO invites all organisations that are registered as ‘participant’ of the NMVO foundation to this webinar. The aim of the webinar is to inform the participants of the NMVO foundation about the progress of the Dutch NMVS, also with respect to the approaching end of the “soft launch”, and to offer participants the opportunity to ask questions. If you are not yet a member of the NMVO Foundation, you can register here.
