Following long and tough negotiations with the statutory health insurance (SHI) funds (GKV-SV), the arbitration board decided in favor of the following 5 CPS to be reimbursed by all SHI and private insurance companies: Medication review (MR) for patients with polymedication (≥5 drugs; 90 €), MR with f-up for patients taking oral anticancer drugs (90 + 17.55 €), MR with f-up for patients taking immunosuppressants post-transplantation (90 + 17.55 €), blood pressure control in hypertension (11.20 €), and assuring proper inhalation technique for patients receiving a new or a device change (20 €; all prices excl. VAT). This is a huge step towards implementing sustainable CPS in German community pharmacies. A big thank you to all involved, in- and outside ABDA, who made this dream come true.
